About Real Deal Baseball
Jason Corapci, Camp Director - 714-473-9327
Jason is an Anaheim Hills native that proudly serves the community and kids throughout Southern California with his expertise in the game. He brings a long list of achievements and goals to the table. In 2005 he established Real Deal Baseball with the goals to help youth baseball players enjoy, learn, understand and play the game the right way to achieve at the next level. Jason was a four year varsity starter at Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills where he garnered back to back C.I.F. Championships ('96,'97). Throughout his years at Canyon he was a two time League MVP, two time All County, All C.I.F., All State and 1999 Orange County Batting Champion with clip of .582. As a 16 year old in 1997 he was selected to play on the inaugural season of the 16 U USA national team that competed in Taiwan.
In the fall of 1999 he attended the Cal State Fullerton where he was a two time all big west selection and two time College World Series Participant. Jason went on to earn a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management in 2007. He took a detour in receiving his degree due to playing professionally with the Houston Astros for three years after being selected in the 29th round in the 2003 MLB Amateur Baseball Draft.
After three years of playing, Jason retired from playing the game and pursuing what he loves, and that is coaching. He is a proud business owner of Real Deal Baseball and the Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano.
Mike Martinez
Mike Martinez is currently an Assistant coach at J Serra Catholic High School. Last season Mike was the Assistant Varsity Baseball coach for his Alma Mater at Katella High School. The team finished with a 22-8 record on their way to being Empire League Champions. After being a standout 2-way player at Katella, Mike went on to Cal State Fullerton were he earned his B.S.. degree in Kinesiology. On the baseball field, Mike played infield his first 2 seasons and eventually transitioned to the pitching mound where he posted a 8-4 record his Senior year. A 2-time College World Series participant for the Titans, Mike earned a save in the Championship Series versus Texas on the way to winning the 2004 College World Series title. Mike was drafted in the 8th round of the 2004 baseball draft by the New York Yankees and went on to play 4 seasons in the Yankee's organization. He earned All-Star honors in 2005 posting 30 saves for the Charleston Riverdogs. Mike finished his professional career with a 3.12 ERA. Mike resides in Orange with his wife Liz.
